She might be one of the most famous women in the world, but it seems that even the Queen can escape detection. And she wasn’t even wearing sunglasses when it happened.
Her former protection officer Richard Griffin has revealed that the Queen of England was approached by a group of American tourists while out on a walk near her Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire.
Ahead of the Queen’s 90th birthday this week, he told The Times that the Queen — dressed in a head scarf and a tweed coat — was asked if she lived in the area.
She responded by simply saying she had a house “close by”. Oh, Queenie.
“Have you ever met the Queen?” the group then asked. “No,” she replied, before pointing to companion and saying, “But he has.”

Griffin, who worked for the Queen for more than 30 years, said the group then moved on, apparently none the wiser to who they had just met!
Would you recognise the Queen if you saw her?
