Mutilated Meat Farm Dog Left For Dead Rescued, Now Looks Totally Transformed

A Labrador left for dead in South Korea after suffering horrific injuries at the hands of a dog slaughterhouse is making a miraculous recovery — and smiling the whole time.

Chi Chi was force fed and hung upside down for days to make her meat more tender, leaving her mutilated and in agony.

Monique Hanson, of Animal Rescue, Media and Education (ARME), said, “She was hung from her legs for so long that her bindings started eating through her flesh.”

“At some point, it was literally bone she was hanging upside down from.”

Seeing her injuries, the slaughterhouse dumped Chi Chi in a trash can as she was unfit for consumption. Luckily, ARME discovered the pup just in time and took her in.

“It was literally just by chance we found her,” said Monique, “She was found in a very well-known region in South Korea. It was really by luck.”

But despite Chi Chi’s horrifying past the pup had an incredible will to live and was always full of love for her rescuers, so they decided to risk amputating her limbs to save her life.

Chi Chi has just taken everything in her stride, and amazingly is still a playful, loving dog despite all that she’s been through.
