Sister Madonna Buder is a devout nun, and a serious athlete.
At 86 years old, she’s the oldest woman to ever compete in an Ironman triathlon, which she’s done over 45 times.
She started getting into fitness at age 48 as a way to calm her mind, body, and spirit. She entered her first triathlon when she was 52, and entered her first Ironman when she was 55. She hasn’t stopped since.
When she’s not training religiously, she’s doing fundraisers for various charities.
Because of Sister Buder’s dedication to fitness, Nike’s featured her in their “Unlimited Youth” ad.
Check out the video to see her in action.
We can only hope to be as fit as her when we’re at that age. Keep on fightin’, sister!
