Islamic Terrorism…confirmed. And he may not be working alone.
Syed Farook was reportedly radicalized by a terror group, and had been in touch with multiple international terrorism suspects prior to carrying out the Christmas party massacre Wednesday at at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, according to law enforcement sources cited by CNN.
Farook reportedly communicated with overseas terror suspects over the phone and using social media.
The network also reported that Farook traveled to Saudi Arabia at least twice prior to Wednesdays shooting that left 14 people dead and at least 17 injured. During one of those trips, Farook reportedly brought home Tashfeen Malik, his wife and parter in crime, on a finance visa.
When asked about the report during a Thursday press conference, an FBI official said investigators are still working through details surrounding Farooks possible terror ties.
Farook and Malik were later gunned down in an SUV a few miles away in a furious shootout with police.
President Barack Obama said on Thursday that the San Bernardino shooting could be related to terrorism, but could also be workplace related.
Top Right News on Wednesday reported that at least 6 confirmed ISIS social media accounts had praised Farook and mentioned three lions, or fighters..with the third apparently being Farooks brother, who is in FBI custody. But the FBI would not confirm if Farook had been radicalized by ISIS, Al Queda, or some other group while overseas.
Sources also told TRN that law enforcement officials are concerned about the possibility that there could be additional members a cell still operating in the area.
Neighbors told police about 6 Middle Eastern men who may have assisted Farook and his wife Malik in making IED bombs. It is not known if one of those men was Farook himself, and if so, there may still be up to 5 members of his cell still unaccounted for in California.
Farook was born in the U.S. to a Pakistani family, was raised in Southern California and had been a San Bernardino County employee for five years, according to authorities and acquaintances. San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said he had no information on Maliks background.
When questioned by the media, relatives would only say that Farook had traveled to Saudi Arabia one time to meet his wife. The FBI reports he made at least two such trips and likely more.
Police and federal agents for a second day searched a home in neighboring Redlands, about 7 miles from the massacre at the Inland Regional Center. Investigators didnt immediately say if the couple had lived there. Public records show it may be the home of a Farook family member.
So there you have it…official confirmation that this was an act of international Islamic terrorism.
If you are a regular reader of this website, you likely came to this conclusion this 20 hours ago.
But the lapdog media, dominated by the left, and beholden to Obama simply did not want to go there, until the facts dragged them kicking and screaming to the only possible conclusion.
